Ship's Meeting Shady Oak BBQ, Ft. Worth, TX 25 Jan 2020, 1500 hrs The gallant crew of the USS Sea Tiger gathered together again at our normal location. Present were RADM Tank Clark, CDR Tracy Clark, CDR Perry Brulotte (Local member); LTC Roon Marchant, 1LT Daniel Roe, RADM Liz Goulet, and MCPO Alan Goulet. The biggest discussion at this meeting was on a proposed change to the ship's articles, specifically Article VI and VII, changing the frequency and manner of electing the Captain, First Officer, Division Leaders, and leaders of sub-groups. It is expected that this will cause less stress on the ship trying to fill 'open' positions. The proposal called for a vote of confidence for each post yearly; this was changed to bi-yearly, in even-numbered years. This was approved by a majority of the Leadership Committee, and will be put into effect immediately. Because of this, a Vote of Confidence for each of those positions will be held at the February meeting. The February 'away mission' will be a joint mission with IKV SuvwI'ta', to the Lone Star Warrior's Association's Good Day to Dine. This one will be held at Joe's Crab Shack on Reference Stardate 0/2002.29, at 1600 hours. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out

Joint Landing Party: USS Sea Tiger and HMS Minotaur C.R. Smith American Airlines Museum 1000 Hrs The Sea Tiger and the Minotaur jointly toured the American Airlines C.R. Smith museum in Fort Worth, Tx. In attendance were Roon, Liz, Alan, Tracy, and Tank. This is a much larger museum than one would have initially thought, with things for both children and adults. Some of the items here may induce nostalgia, like the flight attendant's uniforms from the 1970s; others impress one in other ways, like the piano that was in an aircraft's lounge. The hands-on nature of many exhibits made the day quite pleasant -- being able to board and sit in a DC-3, for example -- and the museum staff were professional and polite. Following the tour, we repaired to a nearby Mexican restaurant for a delicious lunch. It was a very successful mission! Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. |
