The crew of USS Sea Tiger gathered together for her usual monthly meeting.
In attendance were Liz & Alan Goulet, Roon Marchant, Liz Hazelwood (joining us from the Vulcan's Forge), and Tank & Tracy Clark. Discussions included awards from Summit, the upcoming 30th Anniversary, and the usual... ... but also, the "New Ship on The Block," the ISS Kidd, launching out of Rhome, commanded by MGn Tank Clark. I have assumed command of Kidd, and relinquished command of Sea Tiger (to RADM Goulet) , the 333rd Military Intelligence Group (to MGySgt Goulet), and the Thirty-Third MACO (to Col. Marchant). We intend to conduct regular combined operations. Clark, out

Ship's Meeting,
Sci-Fi Factory, Lake Worth, TX Saturday 28 May 2022, 1200 hrs The durable crew of the Starship Sea Tiger met this month at our Official Friendly Neighborhood Comic Book/Game Store, the Sci-Fi Factory. In attendance were the "usual suspects": RADM Tank Clark, CMDR Tracy Clark, RADM Liz Goulet, MGySgt Alan Goulet, and local member Perry Brulotte. We discussed the upcoming Region 3 Summit and Third Brigade Muster, the upcoming 30th Anniversary of our chapter, as well as a review of some things on our calendar for the rest of the year. I've removed any plans for the chapter making a bid for a future Summit bid. The crew who've been here longest have all voiced an opinion of "No, we've done that, don't wanna do it again." It has been two years since the last update of the ship's Articles, and I (as Captain) have been given the go-ahead to make some updates and changes, including moving to a "Experience Points" system to use for promotions and "Of The Year" type awards, in support of the new fleet-wide awards system. Additionally, I will investigate moving the ship through the looking glass to a Mirror universe. Nothing is set in stone, but it may be fun to play as Mirror-versers for a while. Following the meeting, we all joined in a game of Monster Madness, a fun card game. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. The regular schedule of crew meetings for the USS Sea Tiger was interrupted when we sent a team to Muenster, TX for Germanfest. Unfortunately, most of our crew were unable to attend due to various issues. Our Captain (RADM Tank Clark) and the Chief Medical Officer (CDR Tracy Clark) managed to go, and enjoyed themselves immensely. The drive to Muenster wasn't too long, although we encountered the outbound cyclists participating in the Germanfest bicycle race. As they were in the other lane, it didn't totally impede our progress; it did, however, slow us considerably.
Tank was in Lederhosen, and was therefore admitted with no fee -- a pleasant surprise. Most of the day was spent wandering the grounds, shopping at the booths, and listening to all sorts of music. We also watched some Shuheplattler and other traditional Bavarian dances. Whilst eating lunch (in my case, Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat, Rotkraut, und Sauerkraut), we talked with fellow festival attendees and drank a liter of wonderful bier (Weihenstephaner Korbinian). We continued to enjoy ourselves until around 5pm, and then went home. We're really looking forward to Oktoberfest later this year. On the 30th, we sent a team to the Good Day to Dine, at the Smokestack restaurant in Mingus, between Fort Worth and Abilene. Seventeen people, from IKV SuvwI'ta', USS Diamondback, and USS Sea Tiger, came together for fun, fellowship, and to "conquer" an unexpecting restaurant. Some members of the ship will get together again soon, on May 7, at the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Decatur, TX. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. On Reference Stardate 0/2203.26, the reverent crew of USS Sea Tiger met at our new regular meeting location, the Sci-Fi Factory in Lake Worth, TX. In attendance this month were Thomas (Tank) & Tracy Clark; Alan, Liz, and Michelle Goulet, and a local member, Perry Brulotte.
More plans were discussed for our upcoming 30th chapter Anniversary, our April landing party at Muenster (TX)'s GermanFest, May's Texas Scottish Festival, and of course the Region 3 Summit/3BDE Muster. We also talked about Lower Decks, Picard, Discovery, uniforms, flags, Traveller (the RPG from Mongoose), BECMI D&D, Exploding Kitties, and other games. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. On 2201.12 (12 JAN 2022), MGN Clark and COL Marchant joined the rest of the Third Brigade Staff in a long-delayed online meeting.
The clean crew of the USS Sea Tiger held our first ship's meeting of the new year on 2201.22 (22 JAN 2022) at the official comic-book/gaming shop of the Sea Tiger, The Sci-Fi Factory. This business has two sides to it: a store, selling games and similar "Nerdy stuff", and a gameroom, complete with several tables. The meeting was fairly brief. In attendance were Tank & Tracy Clark, Alan & Liz Goulet, Roon Marchant, and Vino Silmon. We discussed the future: the Good Day to Dine on 2201.29, our upcoming 30th chapter anniversary in October, upcoming meetings, and our upcoming April away mission to the Münster (Tx) Germanfest. A very important topic was the new consolidated award scheme with SFMC, SFSO, and STARFLEET Medical -- we eagerly anticipate upcoming uniform manuals to deal with the placement, and are excited about the additional unit-level awards. We also discussed Star Trek and our chapter with the store's various staff and customers. For the next hour or so, we played games at one of the tables -- specifically, Monty Python Fluxx." ("...and there was much rejoicing.") As the crew dispersed, each in their own direction, Tracy and I entered the customer side of the store, picked up my comic pull list, and conversed with staff about the RPG she and I are currently playing -- "Amazing Adventures", a pulp serial type RPG by Troll Lord Games, using the same Siege Engine system as TLG's Castles & Crusades fantasy RPG. On the following Saturday, stardate 2201.29, members of the USS Sea Tiger, IKV SuvwI'ta', and USS Diamondback met at Little Germany, a German restaurant on Camp Bowie Blvd in Fort Worth. Five Sea Tigers were in attendance, making the party total fifteen people. The food was mostly good, but the service was lacking. The waitress did not understand when I ordered a liter-sized beer. She also had trouble following my German. (Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutch, aber die Kellnerin sprechen nur Spanisch und Englisch!) Overall, the crew has welcomed the new year and is rising to meet the challenges ahead of us. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. Ship's meeting
Shady Oak BBQ 25 Sep 2021 1500hrs The cheerful crew of USS Sea Tiger met once again at our normal location for more food & conversation. In attendance this month were Colonel Roon Marchant, MGySgt Alan Goulet, RADM Liz Goulet, MCPO Michelle Goulet, CDR Tracy Clark, and MGN Tank Clark. We reviewed the ship's calendar, and confirmed our away mission (in conjunction with IKV SuvwI'ta') to the Fort Worth Zoo, Stardate 0/2110.09, 1100 hours. We also confirmed that we won't have a regular meeting in November or December, instead having our holiday party on December 4. Although we love the service that we always get at Shady Oak, they've changed their rules for reserving a table -- they won't reserve one for fewer than 25 people. I would love to have 25 people showing up for meetings on a regular basis, but since that's not the case, we decided that we should look for an alternate location. Therefore, for our October meeting we will meet at a nearby Luby's, and give that a try. We also had a long conversation regarding health issues, and concluded that aging, especially combined with health problems, isn't any fun. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. Ship's Meeting, 28 Aug 2021, 1500 hrs Shady Oak BBQ, Fort Worth, TX The obedient crew of the USS Sea Tiger gathered as usual for fun, food, and fellowship. Present this month were RADM Tank Clark, RADM Liz Goulet, CDR Tracy Clark, MGySgt Alan Goulet, MCPO Michelle Goulet, 1LT Ricky Morrison, and MAJ Dan Roe. Discussion included R3's trip to NASA in Houston on 11 Sep; FenCon in conjunction with USS Battle Born 17-19 Sep; USS Diamondback's upcoming 10th Anniversary; and an Away Mission in October (possibly the Fort Worth Zoo). As many of the crew are older, we also discussed health issues like my pancreatitis which had me sidelined for much of a month. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. Ship's Meeting
