Ship's meeting, Shady Oak BBQ, Ft Worth, TX 1500-1700 (-ish) The intrepid crew of the mighty USS Sea Tiger once again came together for fun, food, and fellowship. In attendance for the July meeting were: COMM Tank Clark, CDR Tracy Clark, RADM Liz Goulet, MCPO Alan Goulet, 2LT Daniel Roe, & 2LT Richard Morrison. Items discussed included the Landing Party to the Wax Museum, the upcoming Artemis game day, and (new to the agenda) the upcoming table at the Haltom City Library. This library is holding its end-of-summer party celebrating science and science fiction. Called "Cape Carnival," the event will include a bounce house for the younger set, and tables (like ours) for the somewhat older. We'll be introducing people to STARFLEET, and talking about Star Trek, science, science fiction, and so forth. The activity level of the ship has gone back up to where we like it, and participation has increased correspondingly. This is a Good Thing, and we're all happy and excited about it! The USS Sea Tiger sent a Landing Party to the wax museum and Ripley's Believe-It-or-Not in Grand Prairie, TX, arriving around 10:00 am on Saturday 13 July. In attendance were COMM Tank Clark, CDR Tracy Clark, Perry Brulotte, LTC Roon Marchant, 2LT Daniel Roe, and Dallas (the woman, not the city!). We probably had more fun than we should have, but that's ok... it was the point of the whole mission! Although the entrance fees were fairly high, it was worth the trip, and we should probably put a return trip on our calendars. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. |
