Ship's Meeting Shady Oak BBQ, Fort Worth, TX The courteous crew of the Starship Sea Tiger joined together in friendship, fellowship, and food-consumption at our regular meeting place, Shady Oak BBQ in Fort Worth. In attendance this month were Tank Clark, Elizabeth Goulet, Tracy Clark, Scott Cornatzer, Michelle Goulet, Roon Marchant, and Daniel Roe. We discussed the upcoming Region 3 online Summit/ 3BDEMuster on 10 July, and everyone is encouraged to be there -- although we also have a table with our KAG sister-ship, IKV SuvwI'ta', at my favorite comic book store, Sci-Fi Factory (Lake Worth) on that same day. The upcoming SFDPP recertification (starting in August) lead us to a rather whine-filled part of the conversation; everyone understands, though, and will comply when possible. An unexpected but welcome award issued to the entire crew of Sea Tiger was the new Order of P'Jem, for "continued dedication of service and perseverance in the face of the Global Covid-19 Pandemic." Our crew barely skipped a beat during this last year. We are pleased that local conventions will be starting up again, and eagerlyanticipate working with the USS Battle Born at FenCon in September. Plans also continue for a Landing Party at the Wise County (Texas) Historical Museum in Decatur on July 17th, the next Klingon Good Day to Dine with IKV SuvwI'ta', and USS Diamondback on July 31st, and long-range plans continue for other stuff (30th Anniversary, hosting a summit in a few years, etc.) as mentioned in previous Captain's Blog entries. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out.
