Ship's Meeting
Shady Oak BBQ Ft Worth, TX The kind crew of USS Sea Tiger met again for food, fellowship, and fun times. Present at this month's meeting were Tank & Tracy Clark; Alan, Liz, and Michelle Goulet; Roon Marchant; and local member Perry Brulotte. Discussions included SFDPP, the R3 Virtual Summit and 3BDE's Virtual Muster & Mess, the R3 NASA trip, FenCon (in conjunction with the USS Battle Born), the Third Brigade's new logo and patch, the earning by the 333rd Military Intelligence Group (the Yellow Jackets) of the 2020 3BDE Legion of Valor (as well as the eligibility requirements for the Meritorious Unit Commendation and Legion of Valor awards in the future), and the well-deserved promotion of Roon Marchant to Colonel. Landing Party: Wise County Heritage Museum, Decatur, TX
The USS Sea Tiger sent a party to explore the WCHM. The building, constructed in 1892, initially served as a four-year college, the Decatur Baptist College. It currently holds diverse items from Wise County's past: furniture, artwork, military uniforms, a horse-drawn hearse, and many, many other displays, including genealogical records and newspaper archives. Lt Col Roon Marchant, CDR Tracy Clark, and MGen Tank Clark spent a few hours exploring the museum before going out to lunch at Casa Torres, the best Mexican restaurant in Wise County. The USS Sea Tiger once again has been honored by the Region and the Brigade. During the General Session, Sea Tiger was presented with the 2020 Zenith Award (Print Media), for outstanding Newsletter ("The Monthly Roar"). In the Marine Muster, members of the 333rd Military Intelligence Group (our Marine unit) were presented with a wide variety of awards:
