Ship's Meeting Shady Oak BBQ, Fort Worth, TX As the summer wears on, it’s harder and harder to get out into the heat and get anything done. Stay hydrated, try to keep cool, and remember that autumn will eventually arrive. Knowing Texas’ weather, it’ll be fairly short, and followed quickly by an equally short but fairly aggressive winter, but who knows? That’s why God gave us the ability to control our indoor climate, right? This month's meeting was a short, sparsely-attended, but pleasant one. In attendance were Alan, Liz, and Michelle Goulet, as well as Tank and Tracy Clark. Tank wore his new uniform again. Subjects of conversation included the latest information regarding possible future SFMC/MACO rank insignia, Region 2’s proposition for a joint R2/R3 Summit to be held in conjunction with CoastCon in Biloxi, MS, in 2020, and – along those same lines – our someday bid for a Region 3 Summit. Otherwise, very little business was conducted. The next ship’s meeting will be on the 22nd of September; Tank is looking forward to attending the Third Brigade's overnight on BB-35 USS Texas on the 29th of that month. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out.
