Haltom City Library
30 Oct 2019, 1800 hours The crew of the mighty Sea Tiger was invited by the Haltom City Library to participate in their Howling Halloween event. Although the Captain wasn't able to attend, the ship had a great turnout, passing out candy and Star Trek friendship to the crowds of people. These library missions have greatly expanded our presence in the local area, and people are beginning to know that we exist -- which is a Very Good Thing. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out.

Ship's Meeting
Shady Oak BBQ, Ft Worth, TX 26 Oct, 1500 hours As the chapter celebrates its 27th anniversary of our commissioning (as USS Comanche, 01 Oct 1992), we gathered once more for an all-too-brief time of food, fellowship, and fun, with a few awards and promotions thrown in. Present were Alan & Liz Goulet, Roon Marchant, Daniel Roe, Clinton Beam, Cynthia Crouch, and Tank & Tracy Clark. Daniel Roe and Richard Morrision were promoted to First Lieutenant, and Clint moved from "Fleet" to the SFMC, changing his rank to Lance Corporal. The Order of Samaritan was awarded to Alan and Liz Goulet. Liz was also awarded the Order of Hawking. Meanwhile, Daniel was awarded the Order of Babel, the Order of Cochrane, the Order of Dionysus, and the Grankite Order of Tactics. Bravo Zulu! Plans were made for November's mission to the Escape Room, as well as December's Klingon Dinner Thing and Ferengi Gift Exchange. The ship patches ordered by Daniel came in, and are available for a low price from him: ($8 for ship members, $1 0 for others). The combadges are on order and will be shipped soon. Plans were also discussed for the 30 Oct library event, and contacts have been made with the other local library systems. All in all, the Sea Tiger is running smoothly and happily! Rear Admiral Tank Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. Zombie Hunt! 12 Oct 2019 (1700 hours) The landing party met at Rosa's Cafe (18451 I-35W, Northlake, TX 76262 -- NE corner of 114 and I-35W) for an enjoyable repast, and then off to DFW Adventure Park. The party consisted of MGN Tank Clark, LTC Tracy Clark, 2LT Daniel Roe, and Crewman Randall Hermes. A fairly large portion of the evening consisted in waiting. First, in line to get our tickets, then in another line to get our ammunition, and finally to board our vehicle. After 2000 hours, we finally boarded a school bus, fully equipped with swivel guns mounted at the windows, and proceeded on our mission: to shoot Zombies with paint balls. This was a very enjoyable evening, and one that I'm sure we'll want to do again. The weapons were much more accurate than I'd expected, the zombies moderately easy to target, and overall, we had a very good time. Clark, commanding Sea Tiger, out. |
